We got married on top of Mt. Tamalpais (technically, near the top on the Pacific facing slopes) only six years ago!
On Tuesdays I take the Larkspur Ferry to and from the office and often have my P&S camera (a sturdy little Canon Powershot SD800) with me and shoot the easy moving large targets.
One more shot showing these huge ships' awesome capacities.
The funniest looking ships are those car transport ships -- they look like moving boxes. I'll dig up a couple photos and post those.
Last week this NCL cruise ship was docked at Pier 27 -- the Norwegian Pearl.
A very nice sunny day today in San Rafael. I went to nearby McInnis Park in the morning and took photos along the railroad tracks and of a couple football clubs having a good time.
We went to three wineries today:
* Domaine Carneros
Domaine is a French Taittinger champagne house property and their sparkling wines are always good.
They also make excellent Pinot Noir and more often than not we run into Kenny G. (one of their top hosts/salesmen) at the winery.

The S.F. Chronicle used my photos of the rescue this morning.
The woman...
(Photos by Ken Papai, special to SFGate.com)
I shot the above photos in the 4-5 minute span of the rescue this morning, just before 7 a.m. The woman was completely naked (no wetsuit or swimming suit) and didn't look like she was fit enough to be swimming so far out in the bay. I am sure she became hypothermic and the S.F. Rescue was awaiting the arrival of the ferry boat. She didn't fall out of our boat; my guess someone threw her off of a private boat (an argument with a friend/boyfriend/hubby?) else she was totally crazy and foolish and actually swimming naked in the very cold bay (about 53 degrees water temperature). Our ferry Del Norte came to a stop, then swung about and picked her up. They were a very efficient crew.
The Marin IJ reports:
"...Coast Guard officials reported the woman may have jumped into the water sometime Monday night and suffered from a psychotic episode.
Petty Officer Dorian Jackson, of Coast Guard Sector San Francisco, said the woman was in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital.
"She basically said to the doctor she was attempting to escape from hell," he said.
