Hill Climb Championship on the Rake, North of England (a 2min 40sec race, but it hurt).
Ken won the Scottish road race championship in 1999 and was bronze that year in the 4K pursuit. Here's Ken winning.

although I was leading this group with one to go, there were a couple of
guys up the road) and secondly, a couple of days after my broken neck
(C-1, C-2) accident in October. A dozen races this year, 4K miles, not a
scratch and then a Sunday AM pre-breakfast ride on dirt roads, and wham.
Healing well, but the Doc says no outside riding until at least June [2001]!"

did a 10 day tour of northern Spain. I got the boat to from Plymouth to
Santander and just set off. One of the best week and a halfs of my life. I
had so much endurance after that I was raging fit for the rest of the year.
Finally is a picture from July 1997 climbing in a race near Exeter."

Jason (JJWbacon) writes some pretty awesome firsthand race accounts from
the P/1 crits in the USA for rec.bicycles.racing.
Besides his fulltime job of bike racing and training, Jason drives a big-rig truck fulltime in the Oklahoma area.
