EOS 10D, at full 200mm, 1/350, f/3.5, ISO 100, cloudy.
100 percent crops, lens at 70mm, 1/350, f/5.6, ISO 100.
Wide Open - f/2.8
Full frame from EOS 10D camera, shot as Large jpg (6MP) and fine.
100% crop of above image, no sharpening, at just 70mm and f/2.8, ISO 400.
The sharpness and contrast at 70mm is nothing short of excellent.

How does this lens compare to the cheapie, EF 28-200 USM lens? That test is coming up, my goal is to post the results by Monday, March 28.
